Help Me Recover From Auto Shop Nightmare

I bought this car last year and it felt like a fantastic deal, I had a good interest rate in a good payment with a fantastic car. It started making a funny sound one morning, so I took it to an auto shop and they completely totaled my engine. They are refusing to help me pay to fix it and I don’t have the money to sue them and I don’t know what to do anymore. Eight grand would help me get out of this hole and get into a new car and not be so stressed out every day. Anything helps, thank you.
