In Honor of a Beloved Grandfather, “Poppa Rick”…
After battling bladder cancer for almost 5 years and a recent spread into the lymphs, bones and lungs, our Family is faced with a tender and difficult moment - a cherished grandfather has transitioned from this life, leaving behind his family and only grandson and bright light, Liam. His greatest wish before he passed was simple and profound: that Liam grows up supported, encouraged, and able to experience the beauty of life.
In honor of his love, wisdom, and the legacy he leaves behind, we are creating the Legacy of Love Fund. This fund will be dedicated entirely to his grandson’s wellbeing—helping provide stability, opportunities, and meaningful experiences to live life to its fullest both now and in the years to come.
With overwhelming medical bills, a wife and daughter who dedicated their every minute to care for him and endless effort to provide Liam with a sense of ‘normalcy’ during these challenging and tragic times, Rick’s last wish is very simple - that Liam is given the opportunity to experience all of the things he missed out on and that he had hoped to share with him as he grew up which are no longer possible.
In leu of flowers, donations to other foundations, food and assistance we invite those who feel moved to contribute to this fund instead. Your support will help carry forward Poppa Rick’s deepest hope: that his grandson is uplifted and given every chance to thrive and experience the very personal things he wanted for him.
Your generosity becomes part of his legacy—one built on love, family, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to live fully, bravely, and joyfully despite the absence of those dearest to us.
