My name is Dianna, and this year has shattered me. In March, I lost my Nana — my best friend, my safe place, the person who held our entire family together. My everything. My children’s everything.
She didn’t just love us — she supported us. She helped keep our home stable, made sure my children had what they needed, and always found ways to bring them joy, whether it was a trip to the zoo or a few hours at the arcade. She gave us love, consistency, and a sense of security I’ve been struggling to hold onto since she passed.
Six days after I lost her, I lost my dog of 18 years. Two of the hearts that kept me grounded were gone in one week.
Since then, I’ve been trying to keep everything going — to keep my home running, my kids cared for, and our spirits from sinking completely. But it’s hard. Bills are stacking up, back-to-school needs are approaching fast, and grief doesn’t slow down for reality.
This fundraiser will help with:
- Utility bills (electric & water average $260–$300/month)
- paying of behind car tags
- School uniforms, clothes, and supplies
- A simple fun day out for my kids before school starts
- Keeping our home stable while we try to heal
I don’t like asking for help, but I’m trying to be honest. If you’ve ever lost someone who was your anchor, I know you’ll understand.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this, thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
