Roxanne Barnyak's Hello, my journey of breast cancer started in April of 2016. I had a double mastectomy with a bilateral skin sparing Tram flap by June of 2016.  (Tram flap is when doctors use our own fat to reconstruct your breast)  After two months of waiting for the all clear my cancer wasn't gone. I had to undergo chemo and radiation. My last day of chemo was in 2016.

2017 I didn't have a good start, I was rushed to the ER for incarcerated hernias. I was in the hospital for a week and doing more radiation. I worked and fought to kept my cleaning business for twenty-eight years; all those years to help cover all the medical bills and expense. All the while my husband worked overtime to keep us all afloat. He never complained.

In 2018 I had a oophorectomy full hysterectomy.

2019 there were new signs of lumps in the same breast. I had a PetScan, which lite up like Christmas, leading to more biopsies. I started to become breathless and my abdomen was extending along with my lymph nodes. Dealing with shortness of breathe and extend abdomen I traveled to New York to meet with a deo of  surgeons to repair my adominal wall. I was told I had Sarcoidosis of the Lymph Nodes. I continued to get treatments every 6 weeks. I was told  I could not return to my profession, leading to the sell of my business. I applied for disability and was denied. Its been a struggle, my husband works all the time, any opportunity to work he does.

In 2022 I started to get fractures in my bones and was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. They took me off hormone therapy and started monthly injections of Envenity.

In late August of 2023, my abdomen extended and out along the middle of my chest. I called New York at NYBRA made appointments with the deo surgeons and they both agreed that  I was a candiate for the repair and believed they were able to make my chest repair, fixing the left breast for the blood vessels wree not working.

I will be having surgery again out of state in Long Island New York. I will be staying in a hotel for two weeks recovering. Family and Friends anything will help take the financial burden off of my husband and I.

Prayers are needed and greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
