This is Nemo.
He is a feral dog I adopted in May 2022. He had lived at my job, that works with a rescue, for over a year. He had been deemed "un-adoptable" leaving a grim future for him. Instead of his demise, I took him home to live, as he is, with my family. I have a 6 year old girl lab mix, a cat and a 7 year old daughter that welcomed him with open arms. While he had lived at a boarding facility he had some skin issues that the vet treated with CytoPoint Injections every 3 months. Since having him I have not been able to get his skin treated completely. The CytoPoint injections were no longer making an impact. His skin has become so irritated that he is now always uncomfortable. He has been on a few rounds of antibiotics and other medicine to try and treat the issue. He has had his skin scraped and examined with no indication on what is causing it. He does not have mange. I have switched his food per vets recommendation to a very expensive one that also has not made any impact. At this point I have spent well over $1,000 on treatment and diagnosis with no answers. I need to do a few allergy panels for him. They are starting at a few hundred dollars PER panel. This is all in hopes I can pin point the issue. I do not have extra money as I am a single mom. I do work full time but all my money goes to my bills and managing my household. I simply need some help getting my boy back to health and keeping him healthy.
