Ethan Kaiser is originally from Chicago, Illinois and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus in Film Production and a minor in business from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He currently works as a freelance videographer and photographer for projects such as short films, music videos, sporting events, product advertisements, and weddings since 2019. His experience in video production expands to projects overseas and in the nonprofit sector. This is his sixth project as director of photography, as well as his third project as director. His specialty lies in screenwriting as he has been writing screenplays for a variety of genres since 2014. As original screenwriter for Alaea, Ethan’s natural talent, creative vision, leadership, and passion for storytelling makes him a strong director and cinematographer for this project. Gabriel Hawley, production designer and producer is originally from East Jordan, Michigan and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a focus in Film Production and a minor in business from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Gabriel is our production designer and has over ten years experience in filmmaking. He currently works as a freelance video editor, where he films and edits client videos for weddings, nonprofit events, music videos, product advertisement and sporting events. He has over ten years experience working as both a production designer, and on thriller productions. His creative expertise (especially when it comes to the thriller and horror genre), his passion for filmmaking and his hyper attention to detail makes him a strong production designer and crew member for Alaea.

Hannah Kuhn, assistant director and producer is originally from Chicago, Illinois and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a focus in Film Production from Calvin University, as well as a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Liberty University. This is her fifth production working as assistant director, and seventh short film production collectively. She currently works as a copywriter for a publishing company, but has film production experience in corporate communication, an educational video series for University of Chicago, HGTV House Hunters, along with nonprofits.
