May Day has always been about solidarity, resistance, and community. This year, we’re bringing that energy to Benson for a night of music, art, connection, education, and collective action.
Join us at the Benson Theatre for Mayday! Mayday! Fight the Patriarchy, a unique, diverse-genre showcase featuring a DJ, two comedians, and musicians weaving together blues, hip hop, punk, indie, folk, and heavy vibes. Whether you come for the music, the laughs, the message, or the people, the goal is simple: to gather, learn, connect, and stand up for what you believe in.
Connect with others who believe in protecting civil liberties and standing up for justice at a time when rights, dignity, and democracy are being challenged across the country and around the world. Learn more about resistance efforts and actions you can take to defend human rights.
- 100% of proceeds will benefit the ACLU of Nebraska. There is a $15 suggested donation at the door.
Pop in, grab a wristband, and come and go as you please. Benson First Friday will also be happening, so make sure to explore the neighborhood’s galleries, shops, and festivities while you're out.
