My name is Heather I am trying to raise $15,000 for my son Wesley who is 34 and is dying. He has been given a 6 months to 12 months survival rate from acute kidney and heart failure.

He was recently diagnosed with CKD at 90% loss, Stage 5 ESRD, AA Amyloidosis, and Acute congestive heart failure.

Wesley was an honor student in school, and aspired to join the military following in his grandfather's footsteps. He was 2 weeks away from recruiting until an accident occurred in 2009 that ended with his right arm and leg being amputated. He was in the hospital for over 3 months during his long painful recovery.

He fathered a child shortly after and was then diagnosed with testicular cancer a few years later. The cancer left him having to endure chemo and surgery.

Wesley moved to Ohio to help raise his son where he became homeless  after the relationship with the mother of his child ended leaving him distraught and unable to see his son.

Without having his son in his life, Wesley traveled the country living in multiple states before settling in San Diego CA. After living there several years Wesley got the unfortunate diagnosis that his kidneys and heart were failing and that he's not a candidate for a transplant.

I am asking for help raising $15,000 to help cover the cost of transportation to and from treatment. Public transportation is too difficult for him.

Being in a wheelchair causes stress on his heart from having to make multiple transfers on busses and trolleys. Taking a cab or Uber  is not an option at the moment because of high fares which he often can't afford due to living on a fixed income and not being able to work.

The funds raised will be used to help cover the cost of necessary prescriptions that are not covered by his insurance  and medical bills which are quickly stacking up

The majority of the money will also help with end of life costs as being that he does not have any life insurance, and that the cost of his eventual passing will be put to his family to cover,

Any extra money raised above the goal will be used to improve the quality of his remaining time letting him enjoy the time he has left

any donations would be greatly appreciated and extremely helpful seeing that I am also living on a fixed income and cannot afford to cover the costs and its left me feeling helpless and depressed as this is my youngest son.

Thank you to anyone who can help with these difficult times

Please keep my son in your hearts and prayers, and please share this to help us reach our goal
