Hello Rabbit Hole Family,
On December 5th our business operations stopped due to a flooding in our pipe system. Unfortunately, we could not get the clog cleared and we had to put a camera inside our drainage system to figure out what the problem was. Upon review of the camera footage, we discovered a broken pipe.
Although The Rabbit Hole has been here 12 years, the building was built in the 1960s along with the piping system. The camera footage also showed multiple deteriorated pipes and an issue with the flow of the system which is why the pipes are deteriorating at a faster pace.
We received three separate inspections, all with the same results of requiring the pipe to be repaired by having to trench multiple locations including inside our men’s bathroom and our neighbor's business directly next door to us.
The work required to repair this is much more detailed and costly. In addition, we have had to close our doors and shut down our business since December 5th, bringing our cash flow to $0.

Although we have money aside for repairs and emergencies, the scope of this damage in addition to the loss of revenue has placed us in a difficult position where we now must ask our community for support.
We are asking for an investment in your local watering hole.
Your investment would go towards the following things:
- Pipe Repairs & Additional Trench Work Required
- Recurring Bills
- Payroll
- Reopening Expenses & Supplies
Each donation counts and we are more than thankful for any contribution that you make towards supporting the bar in being able to reopen.
We understand the timing of this is not the best as the holidays are here. We don’t feel comfortable asking for money with nothing in exchange, so we would like to offer something different.
We will be creating a list of everyone who donates and to show our appreciation we will be throwing a private event for those who made a donation in the new year, if we reopen.
In addition, we have created a new membership program that we hope to launch in the new year if we are able to reopen. All those who donated will become the first founding members of our new membership program that will contain discounts and other special perks.
We don’t want to close our doors down, especially not like this, but at this point in time we have no other choice unless we can raise the money for the repairs and costs due to being closed for weeks.
The bar has been creating amazing memories for the last 12 years and we are completely heart broken that we have had to shut our doors for this last week and possibly for the future.
We appreciate your love and support over the years and hope to be open as soon as possible.
Love,
Your Rabbit Hole Family
