Sophia is a 12 week old mixed breed. She came to us with a known condition called Megaesophagus (Mega-E). My wife Katrina and I have a 2 YO mega-e we have managed to keep healthy and manage her condition without major medical intervention. Although we have managed to keep Sophia's mega-e somewhat manageable her prognosis is guarded. On Thursday May 10th we had a consultation with a Veterinary surgical specialist and it has been determined that Sophia's survival odds are less than desirable without corrective surgery. The first step was a CT which was done on April 17th. This helps the surgeon know exactly what needs to be done. She is Scheduled for surgery Monday April 22nd. The CT was $2000. The surgery is estimated at $5-6k. Although the surgery is complicated her chances of survival and living a comfortable life are very good. Without surgery it has been determined that her odds of survival and living a normal life is dismal. Her surgery can't wait for months. We can currently front $2k-$3k. Unfortunately we dont have all the funds needed. We are reaching out to animal lovers across the nation to help us save Sophia. We can supply documents and references upon request. I know times are tough but every dollar counts. Thank you for supporting out endeavor to Save Sophia
With Love
Rich and Katrina Lange
