There is a powerful momentum behind the words "Just Believing." For our family, it isn’t just a phrase—it’s the engine driving us forward as we get Jennings the absolute best care possible.
We are officially heading to Children’s National in Washington, D.C.
This trip is a major milestone in Jennings’ medical journey. Children’s National is home to some of the top specialists in the country, and we know this is exactly where Jennings needs to be to get the answers and treatment required to thrive. Jennings has handled every hurdle with indomitable and unwavering belief that we WOULD FIND THE ANSWERS, and now it’s our turn to go the distance.
Our Goal
A medical trek of this scale over 480 miles away from home, requires significant coordination. We are launching this fundraiser to bridge the gap and ensure that our only focus remains on Jennings’ health and recovery.
By partnering with us and Team Jennings, you are helping cover:
- Travel & Logistics: Getting Jennings and myself safely to and from Washington, D.C.
- Family Lodging: Ensuring a stable, close and safe place to stay near the hospital during treatment. We will be admitted into the hospital for about 12 days, give or take a few and then staying somewhere local for the continued outpatient treatments and outpatient care for the remainder of our stay.
- Specialized Care: Assisting with the various costs associated with out-of-state medical experts. While we do have Medical Insurance that should cover the brunt of this, there are a few other medical expenses that are not covered. These expenses have seemed to change as the trial and error process still continues but it is a never ending battle with what "should be" covered and what actually is "covered".
