Hello, my name is Tayler and I am helping fundraise for my friend Issa and his family. After a devastating war, they were displaced to a refugee camp where they live in miserable conditions. They are currently living in over crowded tents and are without adequate food, water, or medical care.
Issa is a caring father who needs help providing for his 5 children and other members of his family. Not only is he badly injured with shrapnel in his chest (subsequently suspending him from work,) he has lost his wife, leaving him to raise his children alone.
The biggest focus right now is his niece, Rola. Her condition is severe—she has been diagnosed with cerebral atrophy and a blood bacteria. Rola is in desperate need of treatment and some tests to perform the operation.
Hani, Yazen, Shams al-Din, Othman, and Saja dream of living a normal life where they go to school, play at the park, and eat ice-cream. They have shown tremendous strength beyond their years by remaining positive in unimaginable situations.
