Bobby Lee
August 1949 - March 2023

Bob accepted a life-altering medical diagnosis with courage. He made a commitment to do anything that would give him as many days as possible to be with his wife, daughters, grandchildren and his first great grandchild.
Medical interventions cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Some medications were supported through grants and others out of pocket. There were unexpected long term hospital stays and he privately worried about strain on family and how to meet the ongoing and long term medical needs for his disabled wife.
He continued to manage The Steel Guitar Forum and its mail order store, the Steel Guitar Shopper. Eventually unable to leave the house, he lovingly gifted both businesses to his daughters so his Legacy would live on.
Bob did not survive and passed at home with his daughter singing along with the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love”.
While he would be the last person to raise his hand and say “look at me, I need help”, we are asking on his behalf for “A Little Help From My Friends”.
If you have a little to share, this would give some financial relief so his wife can remain in the home (it was retrofit to accommodate her mobility needs).
Two of his daughters and their families will honor the legacy of Bob’s life by continuing to run his businesses without any significant interruption - The Steel Guitar Forum and its online store, the Steel Guitar Shopper. Bob’s dedication to the Forum and it’s store is evident and they know the peace of mind it brought to him in the last weeks of his life.
We are forever grateful for the kindness shared.
Thank you on behalf of the Lee family
