I’ve found myself in a difficult spot recently. After a work-related injury, I’m trying to navigate life without health insurance since my company didn’t uphold their responsibility, leaving me vulnerable. I’ve been waiting endlessly for welfare assistance, caught in a frustrating loop of missed applications and unresponsive systems. Meanwhile, my knee injury worsens, with each painful slip reminding me of how urgently I need surgery. While juggling these challenges, I’ve realized this might be an opportunity to pivot towards something I truly care about. I’m aspiring to become a certified dementia practitioner, a field that deeply resonates with me. However, this path comes with fees: one for a vital certification seminar and another for the NAACP application. With my current financial strain, I’m reaching out in hopes of gathering support to cover these costs. Achieving this goal would be more than a career change; it’s a step toward a brighter, more fulfilling future.
