Service has always been deeply important to me, both personally and as a future physical therapist. As someone who believes strongly in “Greater Service, Greater Progress,” I value giving back, supporting underserved communities, and using my future profession to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
In Spring 2027, I will have the incredible opportunity to travel to Costa Rica with Marymount University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in partnership with Global Community Health Volunteers. As a student physical therapist, this experience is especially meaningful to me because it will allow me to use the skills I have spent years developing to provide much needed physical therapy services to communities with limited access to care.
This will be the 16th medical mission trip organized by the Marymount University DPT program! Through previous service trips, the program has built meaningful relationships with community leaders and healthcare professionals, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue that tradition of service.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help support the resources, supplies, and services needed to make this mission possible and provide care to the communities we will be serving in Costa Rica. Your support will not only help me take part in this experience, but will also contribute to our team's ability to make a meaningful impact while we are there.
