Help me surprise my mother and her husband with a trip once she finishes successfully with her treatment!! She has Angiosarcoma and is currently going five days a week to do radiation treatment and chemotherapy. With every other little thing going on in her life I don’t know how she does it… This is her SECOND TIME with breast cancer and she is fighting it like a soldier… Her name is Joy, and though she has been through Hell, with cancer and other affairs of her life, she never succumbs to despair or hesitates to drop what she is doing, to spread joy or help to whoever else is fortunate enough to be in her life. As her oldest son I have witnessed this miracle many times, though I am not always able to do the same. I wish I could be there for her as often as she deserves, but my life has also taken an abrupt change of plans that is absorbing all of my attention, so I am almost completely unavailable. I have created this fundraiser to generate funds so I can afford to surprise her with a rest & recovery centric retreat, for her and her husband, once she successfully completes her treatment. She is exhausted most of the time and would love to pick right back up, but I know with humility will overfill with joy and gratitude to know her community has come together to give her this special gift of recovery… Without a doubt she will give it back, tenfold!! She has selflessly given herself to her family and anyone that knows her, so please help me to do the same.
