My family and I uprooted our lives back in 2004 to move from pa back to New Jersey to my mother’s house to care for her . She had a host of health problems and needed someone to care for her , so my husband, 3 kids and I moved in to take care of her . 2 years ago my mother had a massive stroke and ended up in a nursing home. Not knowing what to do and knowing Medicaid would take her home we sold the property, due to COVID ending and many families looking to rent or own we were up against ppl with more money to put down and lost out property after property. We were forced to rent back the home my family had lived in all those years. Sadly my mom passed away and now our landlord wants to sell . We found a new home but due to financial issues and the holidays coming up with the remaining down payment has been a struggle. We’ve paid over $3000 but we still owe a remaining balance of $1400 . We have to be out of our current home by Jan 15th and can’t take possession of new home until every $$ is paid . The fear of being homeless keeps me up at night. I’ve never been in this position before. I’ve faced many challenges in my life including a daughter who has been fighting one of the rarest tumors in the world since she was 14. This new start means everything to us as this current home now holds to much sadness and loss . Taking a chance on putting this out because sometimes you have to put pride aside .
