In my whole life, I have never once had a seizure. In the past couple months, I have had 2!
The first one hit as I was coming home from a weekend with family. I wound up staying the night in the hospital and after several tests, was released with a HUGE medical bill. I am (was) dependant upon driving for my profession, but when you have a seizure, you have to go 6 months, seizure free, before you can drive again. Subsequently, I lost my job.
I was able to work again, as long as I had someone drive me. As I was in my second month of my new employment, I suffered another seizure (12/26/25). Now, my 2nd place of employment has laid me off until I get medical clearance. I won't see a neurologist until 2/11/26. My bills are growing.
I would appreciate any help you can give me. While the hospitals say they will "accept" anything towards the bills, they are asking for more than I can cover.
