My husband and I are looking for some support and help while we go through this heartbreaking time of grieving his mom, Myrna Denniston.
7/9/2026 we got a phone call stating my mother-in-law had fallen at the nursing home. She eventually got sent to billings, MT within an hour of being at the hospital in Thermopolis, where the next day she had to have surgery on her femur and hip. While it was unsure weather or not she would make it out of surgery, she had made it out thankfully. Unfortunately due to the medications they had to give her to have the surgery it made her dementia a thousands times worse. While she was in the hospital for a week, she had gotten worse, was not thriving to eat unless it was her loved ones to help feed her. While we wish we could have stayed we couldn't afford to miss more work as we have five kids, and being up there for two days had drained us. Myrna ended up coming home on hospice, we were able to enjoy two weeks with her before she took her last breath. We are asking if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated and it will be going toward funeral coast, and services.
