My name is Mz. imani and I am the curator of SoulFire Sanctuary and the Peace Chamber in Swannanoa, NC. I returned to WNC in 2014 seeking a place to settle, and to bring my WErk with drumming, ceremonial fire circles and planetary prayer forward.
SoulFire Sanctuary is a dedicated ceremonial dance grounds at the edge of the forest and home to a Peace Chamber. The gifts of this place are primary and mystical in nature. This land is a prayer for peace, with deep KINnection to the planet through Ley Lines and a dedication to world peace and the oceans, by Joseph Rael.
With encouragement from dear friends, colleagues, elders and supporters, I am leaning into the collective realm, capacity and power of fundraising. Life has offered me more than a few lemons, for more than a few years, and it is ThyMe to ask for support.
Since 2018, the accumulated impact of a flood in my home, that same home being eaten by fire a year later, covid, another fire on the land, spiritual shenanigans, a bear destroying my vehicle, and most recently the flood and impact of Hurricane Helene, have depleted my resources and invited me to look honestly at what is next.
Having written and supported many successful fundraisers for others, writing one for this land and myself has been uniquely clarifying (and humbling). I am learning to place my own needs alongside the needs of the collective.
Peace Chambers built to restore, recalibrate, celebrate and rebeARTh our personal and collective capacity as caretakers of the eARTh and the oceans are rare. There are only 30 chambers in Joseph Rael’s lineage around the world, each emanating peace for the people and the planet. I am deeply grateful to curate this place as pART of a living prophecy—where music is medicine, ART is in ACTion, and we are planetary seeds of peace. WE are the ones the ancient ones dreamt about, arriving from the 4 directions, while tending to our personal and collective SoulFire.
As we enter 2026, the Peace Chamber is vibrant and dowsed as emanating peace at a distance of over 3000 miles. I am launching this spotfund because I need assistance to maintain and sustain SoulFire Sanctuary, the Peace Chamber and myself—so this WErk may continue.
