On October 7th, while we were at Downey Animal Shelter pulling Hank the bulldog to safety, we witnessed a heartbreaking scene: a woman tied Gigi to a pole and abandoned her. Gigi, scared and stressed, was left with no one to turn to. In that moment, we knew we couldn’t leave her behind. With no immediate plan or place for her, we made the decision to take her to Newport Center Animal Hospital and Pet Suites to get her the care and support she desperately needed.
Thanks to the incredible team there, Gigi has received a full evaluation, a microchip, and plenty of time to decompress. During her stay, we’ve been able to find an amazing foster home for her, but there’s one big obstacle standing in the way: her boarding bill. After a month of care, the cost has accumulated, and we need your help to pay it off so Gigi can finally move into her foster home and start the next chapter of her life.
