Our dear friend Corrinne is facing a sudden and very serious medical crisis, and we are coming together as a community to support her and her children during this frightening time.
On March 5th Corrinne began experiencing abdominal pain, fever, and tenderness under her ribs. After seeking medical care, she was urgently transferred to Mayo Clinic St. Mary’s Hospital where testing revealed a perforation in her large intestine, infection, a mass in her colon, and multiple spots on her liver.
She was admitted and had multiple important procedures including a colonoscopy and liver biopsy. At this time, doctors have determined her condition is due to severe infection and cancer. Surgery and chemotherapy will be needed, and she may temporarily require an ostomy bag.
As you can imagine, the fear of the unknown has been overwhelming. Corrinne is doing her best to stay strong for her children while navigating hospitalization, potential major surgery, and the possibility of ongoing cancer treatment. Corrinne is a single mom to 5, increasing the fear and anxiety of the unknown over the next few months.
We are asking our friends, family, and community to come together to show Corrinne that she is not facing this alone.
