In a matter of 7 days I went from only having to look after myself, to becoming the sole provider for my almost 2 year old nephew. Full time as a single woman with no time to plan, save, or even prepare for this. His parents aren’t in the best position to care for him so I decided to get custody of him so that he could have a stable, safe, healthy living environment. I have been living in Georgia for the last decade and will be moving back to Ohio (where we are from) within the next 3 months. I am raising money so we will have a place to stay, furniture for our new home (I am literally starting from scratch), as well as money for food, daycare, clothing, and whatever other expenses may come up while we transition.
I have not been able to go back to work since he’s been in my care, but I am actively applying for jobs for when we relocate, promoting my skincare business as well as utilizing every single resource that I can.
I am literally walking by faith because I know this is what I am supposed to be doing right now. I don’t have all the answers but I trust God to send whatever it is we need. Please seek on the Lord the amount to give; whatever seed that is planted will help. Know that this is good ground. And if you can’t give I’m asking you to simply pray & share this post.
I almost let pride get in the way of me posting this because I didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for me, but I also can’t be afraid to open up my mouth and ask for help, because I NEED it. How can people assist if they don’t know what’s going on? It truly does take a village. I truly believe that whatever amount is raised and what ever resources are sent/given will be EXACTLY what we need. I trust God to see us through every step of the way.
