Hi, I’m Charles. I’m currently living abroad on a visitor visa, and I’m reaching out because I need help covering medical expenses that have already started to pile up. So far, I’ve accrued nearly £3,000 in debt just from the first round of scans and tests. In total, I’m hoping to raise £10,000 to cover the costs of treatment, follow-up care, and to avoid falling into a financial hole I can’t climb out of.
UPDATE: Since this fundraiser had been started, I have had multiple issues which caused me to return to the hospital; this time for an extended stay with no real fixing any of the problems.
I am actually in worse shape (both financially *AND* physically) since this has been created.
Because of my visa status, I’m not legally allowed to work. That means no income, no way to chip away at these bills on my own, and a growing sense of helplessness I wouldn't wish on anyone. I’ve done what I can to stretch every penny, but I’m now at the point where I can’t do this alone.
What’s even harder is the emotional toll. My wife is my family—she’s my entire support system—and the idea that medical debt could eventually prevent me from returning to visit her is incredibly stressful. This situation isn’t just about money; it’s about being able to stay healthy and stay connected to the person who means the most to me.
If you’re able to contribute, whether it’s £5 or just sharing this page with others, you’d be helping me more than I can say. Every bit of support brings me closer to stability, and to peace of mind.
Thank you for reading—and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
