Indy's Story
I am starting this fundraiser for my sister, her husband, and their beloved 2-year-old Frenchie, Indy. As many of you know, Indy is a vibrant, spunky boy, but our world was turned upside down this week when he suddenly lost the use of his back legs.
Indy was rushed to the emergency vet, where we received the devastating news that he was suffering from IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). He had two slipped discs that required immediate, life-saving surgery to give him any chance of walking again.
Indy is a fighter and successfully made it through the surgery, but the financial toll has been immense. The emergency procedure alone cost $15,000.
Now, the long road to recovery begins. We won’t know for another two months if Indy will regain his ability to walk, and it will be at least six months of intensive care and rehabilitation before he is fully healed. My sister & her husband are doing everything they can to give him the best quality of life, but the unexpected weight of these medical bills is more than anyone can carry alone.
