Two years ago, my life changed by a traumatic act of domestic violence. My ex-boyfriend fractured my nose, but the injury was complicated by an existing implant I had at the time. The impact displaced the implant, leaving me with a fractured nose that will never properly healed.
The Reality of the last two Years
For two years, i have lived with constant physical pain. Beyond the discomfort, it is a daily reminder of a time i am trying to move past. Because the implant is displaced, it affects my breathing and my daily quality of life. I have tried to manage on my own, but i have reached a point where medical intervention is no longer optional.
