Hello everyone,
My name is Jazzmin Jackson, and I’m sharing something deeply personal and difficult. My grandson lost his father—my child—and ever since then, I have tried my best to be a steady, loving presence in his life. He has already lost so much, and the bond we share is one of the few pieces of stability he still has.
I’ve been fighting for my grandparent visitation rights so I can continue supporting him emotionally, spiritually, and physically. After months of stress, court dates, and doing everything I was told, I was finally granted visitation. That moment meant everything to me… but the legal journey is not over.
I had already paid a large retainer to my attorney, but after ongoing issues and communication problems, I felt I had no choice but to let her go. Even though I released her, she still came to the hearing and is now requesting additional fees that I simply cannot afford.
With the holidays approaching, everyday expenses rising, and the government shutdown affecting my income, I’m overwhelmed. I’m doing everything I can, but right now, I can’t cover these unexpected attorney fees on my own.
I’m fighting not just for myself, but for my grandson—because he deserves love, consistency, and family after everything he has been through. Losing his father created a hole that will never be filled, but I want to make sure he never feels like he has to go through life without the people who love him most.
I’m asking from the bottom of my heart:
If you can help—even a small amount—it will go directly toward the legal fees required to protect the visitation rights I worked so hard to receive. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page is a blessing on its own.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me in this fight to stay in my grandson’s life. It means more to me than words can express.
With love and gratitude,
Jackson Family
