Imagine a young (wo)man fighting to protect their family in Ukraine, being wounded in a battle, getting into an ambulance only to be hit by a Russian mortar and perishing together with the medical crew?
This happens, every day.
Pictures below were taken by a fighter from Lubart, a Special Purpose Unit of Armed Forces of Ukraine. The unit is formed by volunteer fighters from Western Ukraine's region of Lutsk. For over a year, they have been fighting in Bakhmut. Here is a video of them evacuating (successfully!) a wounded warrior: https://fb.watch/kUZ5zRb1jS/
Ukraine desperately needs armored medical vehicles to evacuate its wounded. Military aid from the US and other allies rarely includes ambulances; existing vehicles can be destroyed in days and rarely last more than a month. These cars are repaired or used for parts, but they are destroyed much faster than they are supplied.
Most of ambulances are purchased by donations from private citizens, in Ukraine and abroad.
We, a small volunteer group MedHelpUA, have been asked by Lubart to assist them in purchasing a purpose-made military ambulance. Average price for such a vehicle retired by one of European armies is $40,000. We have partnered with Friends of Be an Angel foundation to help us collect the donation. They are a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, EIN 88-2154500.

Please donate! We know everyone is tired of the war, constant ask for donations, disheartening news. But we have no other choice than to continue, until Ukraine is liberated. No donation is too small: $1, $50 or $2,000 will go a long way saving lives.
If you have any questions, please post them in the comments and we will reply.
Thank you for your support! Slava Ukraine!
