Standing On Business: A Media Revolution for Truth and Justice
My name is Felecia Frierson. I currently host a live podcast titled Standing On Business as a creator and influencer on social media. A seasoned producer in the cable industry with over 30 years of experience recognized my skills and the way I engage my audience during live sessions. He offered me the opportunity to become an independent producer, and I accepted. Since then, I have been certified and committed to amplifying unheard voices through independent media.
Now, our mission has expanded. Black and marginalized communities are under attack as the rollback of Equal Opportunity Acts and Civil Rights protections threatens the very freedoms our forefathers fought for. The Civil Rights Act, a cornerstone of justice achieved through the sacrifices of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John Lewis, and countless others, is being dismantled before our eyes. The policies and protections that once ensured fair treatment in education, employment, and housing are being erased—pushing us backward after decades of struggle.
History has shown us that they don’t listen to speeches—they listen to money. The Montgomery Bus Boycott was not won with words but with economic power. When Black people stopped spending their money in a system that thrived on their oppression, the nation was forced to pay attention. Today, we are at another pivotal moment, and we must control our narratives, our resources, and our strategies to make an impact.
Yet, mainstream media refuses to acknowledge the full scale of these attacks on our rights. Our role as independent media is more critical than ever—to document, amplify, and expose the realities on the ground. We are launching a production initiative to cover protests and mobilization efforts across multiple states, ensuring that the truth is seen and heard.
But this is not just about reporting—it’s about empowering communities to reclaim their narratives. Through our partnership with Why We Can’t Wait, Inc.—a Nashville-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering inner-city youth and underserved communities as a means to disrupt violence—we are training the next generation of media professionals. We are equipping young people with the skills to tell their own stories, ensuring they have the tools to change their futures and challenge systemic injustice. With just $100 per participant, we can build careers, inspire change, and disrupt the cycle of misinformation.
To make this happen, we need to raise $10,000 to fund production, travel, and resources. This is a historic moment, and we cannot afford to be silent. If you believe in truth, justice, and the power of independent Black media, stand with us.
Because when we control our narratives, we control our future.
Donate today and help us bring these stories to the world.
