Helping Bring Clarence Home & Final Arrangements

Clarence Pierre Heard III was discovered on June 9, 2026, to have passed away in his apartment. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and the cause of death is currently pending.

Because Clarence was living a modest, free-spirited life, he passed away with no life insurance, no estate, and without the financial means to cover these final costs. Navigating his sudden passing from afar presents an unexpected financial burden. We have established this Spot Fund to kindly ask for your support during this difficult time. All donations will go directly toward:

  • Bringing Clarence’s remains home to his family

  • Closing up his New York apartment

  • Handling his final legal and business affairs

  • Funding a possible future memorial service

  • About Clarence
Clarence was a true free spirit, a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, and a deeply talented soul. Born in Blytheville, Arkansas, he moved to Columbus, Ohio at age 13 following the loss of his mother, Katherine Taylor Whitfield. He went on to graduate from Capital University with a degree in Music and Vocal Performance. Clarence shared his incredible gift by performing in the 1998 Columbus revision of the musical Kwamina to positive reviews, before moving to New York to pursue further performances. He later brought his vibrant, loving energy to the hospitality industry, where he spent years working in catering and bartending.

Clarence was predeceased by his mother, Katherine; his father, Clarence Heard; and his beloved aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his brother, Ronnie Heard (Hollie), alongside a community of extended family, colleagues, and dear friends who will miss him fiercely.

  • Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any amount you can contribute to help us honor Clarence and handle his final affairs with dignity. Please share this link with anyone who knew and loved him. For those who have asked, donations may also be sent via Cash App ($Ronnie2971) or PayPal (@RonnieHeard061)

We wanted to share that we were able to bring Clarence's remains home with us. Having him home brings a sense of peace and comfort.

While this major step is complete, we are still actively managing his outstanding personal affairs.

We are grateful for any continued contributions and shares as we work to finalize everything for Clarence and still try to have a memorial

Thank you for your kindness and ongoing support.
