Just two weeks after we bought our first home, our world was turned upside down when my husband, Roy, was diagnosed with liver cancer. He starts his first treatments on April 27th, and we’ll be meeting with a transplant team on May 12th. This diagnosis came as a complete shock, especially after such a big milestone for our family. Roy has always been the strong, caring, and giving person who never asks for help, so I’m reaching out on his behalf.
Roy has been the sole provider for our family, and I’m a stay-at-home mom to our six kids—three of whom are still little and at home, including our 4-year-old who needs a little extra attention. With Roy unable to work, we’re facing a lot of uncertainty. We have to travel two hours each way for his appointments and treatments, and the costs for travel, medication, treatments, and a new liver are overwhelming. On top of that, we’re trying to keep up with our regular bills and provide stability for our children during this difficult time.
Anything helps—even a simple share to help this fundraiser reach more people. The road ahead is so unknown for us, but knowing there are people out there who care gives us hope. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or just spreading the word. It truly means the world to our family.
