If you’ve ever met Liz, you know she is the kind of person who shows up—without hesitation, without complaint, and always with compassion.
Liz is a dedicated nurse, a caregiver, a friend, and truly family to so many of us. She has spent her life pouring into others—comforting patients, supporting families, and extending kindness in ways that make people feel seen and cared for. She is the person who checks in, who stays late, who gives more than what’s required simply because that’s who she is.
Now, Liz needs us.
While traveling in Vietnam, Liz experienced a sudden and life-threatening medical emergency. She was found unconscious in her hotel room and rushed for emergency care. What followed was devastating—Liz was diagnosed with severe septic shock, which impacted her lungs, liver, kidneys, and heart. She was placed in the ICU, where she remained for nearly a week, fighting for her life.
By the grace of God and the quick actions of a friend, Liz survived.
In her own words:
“I was diagnosed with severe septic shock that affected my lungs, liver, kidneys, and heart… I had a 50/50 chance of surviving but I’m here to stay.”
While we are beyond grateful that Liz is awake and fighting, her journey is far from over.
She is still in Vietnam, where hospital care is costing nearly $1,000 per day, and she will need continued medical attention before she is stable enough to travel. Once she is cleared, a family member will need to fly to Vietnam to safely bring her home to Maryland. Even then, her recovery will take time—time she will not be able to work.
Liz’s daughter is also navigating this crisis while caring for a newborn, making this situation even more overwhelming for their family.
We are asking for $20,000 to help cover:
Ongoing hospital and ICU expenses in Vietnam
Travel costs for a family member to accompany Liz home
Medical transport and safe return to the United States
Basic living expenses during her recovery, as she is unable to work
This is our chance to show up for Liz the way she has always shown up for others.
If you are able, please consider donating. No amount is too small. If you cannot give, please share this campaign and keep Liz in your prayers.
Liz has spent her life caring for others. Let’s come together and care for her now.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
