I have been in and out of the hospital since December 6th with severe Crohn's flare ups. Crohn'sis a disease affecting my intestines for 14 years. This is my 3rd stay in the hospital and so far the longest. At this point I don't I don't have a release date.
I am single self-employed mom who had to put my business on hold while being in the hospital. I've had to cancel paid engagements and this has put me behind on my bills. With no known release date and rent due at the beginning of March I don't have any income coming in right now.
I am asking my community for assistance. We are asking for 3 months to help me alleviate stress in my healing journey.
On January 29th I went to the ER due to extreme blood loss and severe dehydration. At that time they found severe inflammation and sent me home to recover.
Conditions did actually worsened. I returned to the hospital on February 6th and have been here since. They have done a colonoscopy which returned results that nobody wants to here including having my entire colon removed.
Test after test, only to wait for the next move forward. I have had an MRI, CAT scan, Iron infusions, and so much more. Everyday there is something new and we are pivoting. At this point there is no release date in my plan but I am hopeful.
My daughter is being taken care of (In case anyone was asking). Your prayers and positive energy are always welcomed.
Why am I asking for $20,000? My monthly expenditures plus ongoing care in the ongoing months will be high. Since I don't have an official care plan I don't future holds so this is a rough estimate and could change. This is my call to my community to help me get through this storm.
