Help Diego Fight for His Life: A Hero Dog in Crisis
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out today with a heart full of fear, hope, and desperation to ask for your help in saving my precious dog, Diego. He is a brave, loving soul—6 years old, full of energy, and always there when I need him. But right now, Diego is in a fight for his life, and he needs all of us.
Diego has been diagnosed with Spinal Abscess/Epidural Empyema, a rare and life-threatening infection that is attacking his spine. This condition is not only extremely painful, but it is also incredibly serious. It requires immediate, intensive care: high doses of antibiotics, specialized treatments, and possibly multiple surgeries. The road ahead is uncertain, and the costs are overwhelming. But I can’t imagine life without Diego—he has saved me, and now it’s my turn to save him.
The Hero Who Saved a Life
In 2024, Diego’s courage shone brighter than ever. We were at the park, enjoying a sunny afternoon, when something unimaginable happened. A stranger tried to abduct a toddler. In an instant, without hesitation, Diego sprinted into action. With every ounce of strength and loyalty, he put himself in harm’s way to protect that child. He fought back and chased the stranger away, ensuring the toddler was safe.
Diego didn’t think twice. He didn’t hesitate for a second. His selflessness, bravery, and unwavering sense of protection saved a life that day—and he deserves to be saved now.
Diego’s Current Battle
Now, my hero is the one who needs saving. This spinal infection is causing Diego immense pain, and the severity of the situation is growing by the day. He is having difficulty walking, and his quality of life is rapidly declining. The doctors have said that if we don’t act quickly, Diego’s condition could worsen to the point where surgery may no longer be an option, and his ability to walk—or even survive—could be at risk.
We are facing mounting medical bills, including:
Emergency surgeries to remove the infection
Extended hospitalization for intensive care
Long-term antibiotic treatments and rehabilitation
Specialized therapies to help him recover and regain mobility
This is an enormous financial burden, and I am doing everything I can to provide the care Diego needs. But the truth is, I can’t do this alone.

$25 will cover a day of vital antibiotics
