I recently moved to Denton, Texas, filled with hope for a fresh start. I’m a single mom and starting over wasn’t easy, but I was ready for a new chapter. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. I was scammed not once, but twice, which was a huge blow. Not long after, my car broke down, and without it, getting around became a struggle. Then, my insurance company dropped me unexpectedly, leaving me to face unexpected bills on my own.
As if that wasn’t enough, my rental complex found an “additional” charge I couldn’t afford, leading to late fees piling up quickly. All these stresses have taken a toll on my health, and I’ve found myself overwhelmed in a way I never anticipated. But there’s a glimmer of hope — I just got hired at a new job. While the pay isn’t much, it’s a step towards stability, and I’m determined to get back on my feet.
