As we all know Sammy has been raised by me for her entire life. When I got her as a baby she had low blood sugar that we really had to keep an eye on and that she eventually grew out of thank God. We also saved her from parvo and we all know that doesn't come cheap. This dog is my world and now she has three little worlds of her own and a four year old who loves her so deeply. Just recently sam has had some really unfortunate health issues arise that can only be fixed with surgery. My heart dropped to my stomach when the vet told me just the starting estimate at 6k and another few thousand will be due at pick up. Shes suffering from myelopathy which is a spinal cord injury and she has lost all functions to her hind legs and is having neurological deficits. This is caused by invertebral disc Herniation. The only thing I can do for her as of now is keep her on pain meds and buy her a set of wheels until I can raise the money to even get her in for scans and surgery. I have to physically alleviate her bladder for her every few hours and she has no control over her bowel movements anymore. The longer she waits the worse it can get and can possibly get to the point of being irreversible. I can't keep my baby in pain and I can't let her suffer in pain for the rest of her life and I really don't want to have to put her down. This is my baby, my whole entire world. Please every single cent is appreciated and greatly needed. Please even a dollar helps. Please share this with friends and family and please let me get this money in order to help her stay around and live a happy life with her three pups. They are devastated not being around her for the time being because I can't risk her spinal injury getting worse and it's breaking them and her.
