This is going to be a very busy week for our new non-profit organization, Central Florida Assistance, Inc. We are attempting to help our first FOUR families with permanent housing and we need YOUR help.
Most of us are blessed to be in our nice warm cozy homes this chilly morning, but many are not. Families with small children are living in tents in and out of campgrounds in The Ocala National Forest, and in certain areas in and around the tri-counties, behind stores, in woods, in the freezing cold today.
We have helped many of these families with warm clothing, better tents, warm sleeping bags, food, etc., but what they, and so many others need is a chance to better their situation. Most of these families are in these predicaments due to no fault of their own. Many have fallen victim to the economic downturns of recent years. Those already living on the edge have fallen over the edge and are doing the best they can do.
Central Florida Assistance, Inc. is trying to help in several ways. We need to acquire used, but roadworthy vehicles, to provide back-and-forth-to-work transportation to hard working individuals who have lost their vehicles to repossessions caused by economic downturn. We can accept, repair and distribute a donated auto to a deserving person who just needs transportation to work so they can get back on their feet. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for all donations.
Finally, imagine, if you can, having to maintain your family of five, six, eight, or even ten people, often including small children, in a single motel room with a couple of double beds and one bathroom, and no real kitchen. Then imagine that you've worked hard all of your life, built your good credit, and then an economic downturn pushed you into a situation where that little room is the best you can afford, so you do it, because it's all you can do to keep your family warm and dry. Unfortunately, the motel rent takes all of your paycheck. These rooms average $1,100.00 - $$1,700.00 per month. These people could afford a decent rental property with room for their family, but they are stuck because they cant get far enough ahead to front a first and last months rent and security deposit. With your help, we can raise and maintain funds to assist with this desperate need. YOU CAN DONATE HERE, or we are currently accepting cash donations in any amount via our Cashapp account:

or you can mail a donation in any amount to: TREASURER, at 12145 SE 133rd Terrace Ocklawaha, Florida 32179-5120. You will be mailed or emailed a tax-deductible receipt for any and all donations. Please keep an eye out for future postings about how you can help. The need is desperate. THANKS!
