My dad will be off work due to having two major surgeries.
1) Esophagus
Lesions on Esophagus, Esophagus Hernia
Scope and Biopsy as well as surgery.
2) Tumor inside stomach wall lining
Surgery and biopsy. Surgery needed due to the fact
that the Tumor has grown since last scope.
There will be 8 to 12 weeks of down time with both surgeries being done so close together. Not sure of exact dates of surgeries yet until my dad has his consultation. He will know more exact dates after doctor consultation.
Our light bill is currently $222.00. If we pay it after the 15th, a late charge is added, and it becomes $229.74. Our water bill is currently $151.45. If we pay it after the 18th, a late charge is added, and it becomes $166.60.
I am just trying to get this utility money together quickly before the due dates. Our light bill is due the 15th, which is tomorrow. My dad thinks he can defer the bill, but I don't know for how long. Our water bill is due on the 19th. He cannot defer that one.
I have been trying since the end of February to get these bills paid. These bills have caused my parents a great deal of stress, and that is the last thing they need, especially with my dad's health issues. Another problem I just thought of, if our lights are cut off, we will lose all our food. We only get food stamps once a month, so we would have to wait weeks before we could buy anymore food.
My dad also returned home from his doctor's appointment about an hour ago. Thankfully, his insurance provides transportation to and from his doctor. The doctor is still very concerned about his tumors that have grown. He said my dad would need to stay in the hospital about three days when he goes in for the first surgery. He has had a whole lot on his mind, and I am just trying to get someone to pay our utilities for the month, so he is not stressing out so much. My mom has been very worried about him, and the utilities as well. They both have high blood pressure, and are on medication for it. My dad is also a Vietnam Vet.
We would certainly appreciate any help that we can get. Thanks for reading!
