In his final days, my pops Buzzy and I were working to build a house in Bakersfield.

When he passed in 2019, the project was incomplete, a framed shell in the Bakersfield suburbs.

Not wishing to see my dad's project incomplete, I bought my uncle out of the house in 2020 and began to finish the project.

My wife and I plan on moving in and renting rooms out through Airbnb when the home is finished. But, we have hit a snag.

After pouring the rest of our life savings into the house, we still have work to do to pass our energy inspection.

This is where all of you come in. We are looking for investors who would be interested in taking advantage of our future vacation rental at a discounted rate by paying up front for future nights.

The Offer:

For every hundred dollars contribution you will receive a room for two nights in our five-bedroom house.

Experience Kern County:

For those of you that have not spent much time on the other side of the Grape Vine, Bakersfield is a gateway to many outdoor playgrounds often referred to as the "Golden Empire." It extends east beyond the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada range, into Mojave Desert. A few of the highlights include:

  • RED ROCK CANYON: camping, hiking, offloading, horseback riding. This  historical Destination has been in many films.

  • KERN RIVER VALLEY: Reserve, River rafting, hiking, camping, and fishing. Upper and lower current river.

  • SEQUOIA NATIONAL MONUMENT: preserve, visitor center

  • SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON PARKS: "Land of The Giants" 866,000 acres of outdoor adventures. Two national parks connect by a single road.

  • TULE EIK STATE RESERVE: Native lands, hiking trails.

  • TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS: historical landmark

  • TEHACHAPI MURALS: all through the city, murals depict historical events, and famous. Historic Railway Museum.

  • LAKE ISABELLA: between two sections of the Sequoia national Forest. Camping, fishing.boating.

  • TRONA PINNACLES: North Kern County, unusual rock formations. That were formed 10,000 years ago, one section of Mojave Desert was covered by water. Roads that weave in and out of the TUFA TOWERS, and the MONO BASIN area visitors center.

  • ANTELOPE VALLEY INDIAN MUSEUM: unique 1920s Swiss style chalet built into a natural rock formation.

  • SILVER CITY GHOST TOWN: all structures are we created from Kern River Valley is historical past. Artifacts and antiques are on display, some of your sale.

  • RANDSBURG GHOST TOWN: 69 occupancies in 2010, known as a living ghost town.

  • MCKITTRICK BREA ( tar) PITS: Colonel oil Museum.

  • EDWARD AIR BASE: museum.

  • CALIFORNIA LIVING MUSEUM: 17 acres of zoo and botanical Gardens.

  • OUTLET MALL @ TEJON: cuts through the Tehachapi Mountain's.

This is an opportunity to kick off this journey to completion. We are shooting for spring 2023.
