Hello. My name is Omar and I am 21y/o living in Gaza with my mom. Before this genocide it was safe here. Safe to go to school so we could do our studies, food was always available, and we weren't afraid of the things we are now afraid of every day and night now.
We had dreams we wanted to achieve, but the war shattered our hopes, and there's no work anymore.
I have lost close friends. This broke my heart and I feel more alone. Most of my relatives have also died. Our house and our city have been destroyed.
The ocean is our only hope to cool off but they are pouring thousands of gallons of sewage in it daily. The heat in our tent feels like we’re melting. The rats and mice aren’t scared here anymore. They play in our tents right in front of us because they have many easy ways of escaping.
If people are willing to even help with $2 or $3, that adds up and we would be so grateful knowing we can eat. The food at the aid centers is very expensive and we risk getting shot at every time we go there. I pray everyday this nightmare ends soon. But your donation, no matter how small, could make our suffering at least more bearable. My mother and I say thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
