I’ve known Molly Fitzgearld since we were kids in elementary school. She’s always been strong, stubborn in the best way, and full of heart—but nothing prepares you to watch someone you’ve known your whole life fight this hard just to stay here.
Molly is a single mom to her son Everett, born in August 2017. He is her entire world. And she is his only parent—his home, his safety, his everything.
Since 2021, Molly has been in the fight of her life.
She was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021 at age 36 . During that time, she completely changed her lifestyle—committing to a strict raw vegan diet alongside everything else she was doing to fight. She pushed through it all and reached a point where her body was cancer-free.
In 2024, the cancer spread to her brain.
She underwent brain surgery and targeted radiation—something she powered through quietly, without asking for sympathy, while still showing up for Everett every single day.
Now, in 2026, the cancer has progressed to leptomeningeal disease, affecting the lining of her brain and spinal fluid. Her doctors are recommending immediate whole brain radiation. This isn’t a cure—it’s to try to give her hopefully some more time on this Earth and with him
And if you know Molly, you know she’s going to fight for every second of that time.
She has done everything she possibly can. She has followed every medical recommendation. She has continued her strict diet and alternative approaches, doing anything and everything to support her body. She’s worked when she can—cleaning homes, personal assistant, household manager, pushing through exhaustion, The fear and weight of the world —because she has always carried everything on her own.
Even now, on days when she’s battling severe migraines and nausea, she still shows up—like sitting in the dugout at Everett’s games—because being his mom comes before everything.
But this next phase is different.
Whole brain radiation is expected to take a heavy toll—physically, mentally, and emotionally. There’s a real chance she won’t be able to work, and the uncertainty ahead of just how much time she will have left is overwhelming. She’s facing something no parent should ever have to think about—how to make sure her child is okay no matter what happens. Coming up with a plan of who will he live with and hopefully thrive with despite his devastating loss.
Molly has done her part. She has fought with everything she has in her.
Now she deserves some peace in the middle of this.
This fundraiser is to help carry some of the weight she’s been holding alone for far too long—so she can focus on what matters most: being present with Everett, making memories, and not having to constantly worry about how she’s going to make it all work.
Funds will go toward:
-Basic living expenses during treatment
-Care and support for Everett
-Medical-related costs
-And helping create stability and security for Everett’s future
If you can donate, share, or pray—please do. Every bit of support matters.
Watching someone you love go through this is heartbreaking. But if there’s one thing I know about Molly, it’s this:
She has never stopped fighting.
And she is still showing up—every single day—for her son.
Let’s show up for her now.
