The shop diagnosed low compression at the valves, a problem that will likely destroy a new engine if not fixed. They recommend a full engine swap:
- Engine: $1,900
- Labor & parts (catalytic converter, etc.): $2500
I love this car and can’t afford to replace it outright.
Family urgency:
My sister is ill, and I rely on the vehicle to take her to doctors’ appointments, and other essential trips. Without dependable transportation, I risk compromising her care.
Job impact:
