Hi, I’m Stephen, and asking for help like this isn’t easy.
Someone once told me that asking for help for yourself is one of the hardest things you can do. I never imagined I’d be here — but I’m doing it now, not just for me, but for the woman I’ve loved for 17 years.
Since 2022, she’s been battling a severe MS flare-up that’s caused cognitive decline and forced her to stop working. I’ve left my job to care for her full-time — she can’t be left alone, and her well-being is everything to me.
The shift from employer insurance to Medicare has left huge gaps. Medicaid only covers so much. In two years, I’ve drained my retirement trying to keep us afloat. Now we’re behind on bills and facing even more medical expenses.
We’re doing all we can to access support through social services, but it takes time. In the meantime, we need help. Anything you can give — even just a share — would mean more than I can say.
Thank you for listening,
Stephen
