On Thursday, February 12, Joe was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. After emergency testing, doctors discovered he had advanced diverticulosis and required immediate surgery.

due to the removal of some of his colon he will be unable to work for possibly 4-6 weeks with restrictions upon return. This could impact his work as a contractor for longer, depending on recovery.

Joe and his wife Rachel are parents to three children. Rachel works full-time while managing the needs and schedules of their family, and this sudden medical crisis places a significant financial strain on them.

This hardship comes at an especially painful time, as they are also in the process of losing Rachel’s father. As we all know, during times of extreme grief and loss, we often lose our fight and motivation to push through. I can’t fathom being unable to truly grieve all that is occurring due to the weight of financial stress layered on top of everything else.

This is a season no family should have to walk through alone. Any support you’re able to offer helps lighten the burden, allowing them space to heal, grieve, and move through this moment with a little more peace.
