“Life asked Death. Why do people love me and hate you? Death responded, “Because you are a beautiful lie. And I’m the painful truth.” - Unknown

My name is Tina Thompson and I am wanting to raise money for my son Alexander's funeral expenses and for my grandchildren future.

Alexander Charles Stoppa forever 29. On December 3, 2024 a person from the County Coroner's office came to tell me my son had passed away in Florida on November 29, 2024. This was devastating news. He passed away alone and with no goodbye. My husband and I flew to Florida on Thursday December 4, 2024 to get arrangements made. We decided cremation was the best way to bring our son home. I had intended to have the ashes scattered. I wanted to make sure we did the right and most respectful things for him. His life was not always easy and we wanted to make sure he was able to finally rest in peace. We want to have a celebration of Life in the spring and have his ashes buried under a Black Walnut Tree in a forest that overlooks a stream. We feel this is the best way to honor our son. His son Brayden is 6 years old and his daughter Hadley is 4 years old. They are being raised by their mother Sam in Florida. We get to spend time with them when we can visit and video call as much as possible.  They are also part of the reason we are raising money. We will put it into savings for them to use as needed for livings expenses and extras for extra curricular activities such as school trips, music, art or sports and then paying for college. If you can help we would be forever grateful and if you can't please at least share this fund raiser.

With a heavy heart the family of Alexander Charles Stoppa forever 29 our beloved son, brother, father, grandson and friend passed away on November 29, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. Alexander was born April 20, 1995
Alex loved fishing, working on cars and building things. He was great at sales and could probably sell a red popsicle to a woman in white gloves. He had a great sense of humor that rivaled no one. He could make you laugh until you begged him to stop. He was an extremely hard worker and would help anyone with a project. He was always willing to learn new things. Alexander was the kindest most thoughtful and caring person, and he had a smile that could light up a room. Above all this Alexander absolutely adored and loved his children Brayden and Hadley. He loved spending time with them and taking them to the park or whatever adventure he could.
Alex was born in Illinois April 20, 1995, and went to Florida in 2016 where he met Samantha and their precious Brayden was born November 5, 2018. Alex was so ecstatic at becoming a father. In August of 2018 he came back to Illinois to clear up some serious matters so that he could move forward with his family in a healthy manner. He faced these difficult challenges because he wanted to set the example for his son and be a better person moving forward, but most of he did not want his past to interfere with his future. He succeeded with great determination and perseverance at setting positivity and the sky was the limit for Alex. When Brayden came into this world I don’t think you could of known a more prouder dad, Alex absolutely adored that baby. If you want to know Alex take a close look at Brayden, so smart and curious and all the energy sense of humor are right there. Lil Ms Hadley came into this world March 14, 2020. This little girl can steal your heart and get away with just about anything using her charisma loving and gentle personality, just like her father. The best parts of Alex will live on these children and he will be endlessly and forever missed.
When Alex was young about 1 yrs old or so I asked him for a kiss and instead he smiled and I teased him, saying Alex you cant do this (smiling) when I do this (kiss) and he laughed and laughed. So whenever he would say I do this and he would smile and then say you do this and he would make kiss lips. We would play argue this always doing the opposite of each other and we would both laugh so hard. We probably played this game a million times until he was about 4. I wish I would of known the last time we played that game was going to be the last time we played that game, I would of played it longer and I would of etched every moment of that last time into my brain and cherished it forever. I wish the last time I saw you , I  told I loved you or hugged you I would of known it was going to be the last time, I would of held on a little longer stayed a little longer but I didn’t know and neither did you because none of know our time.
