Jakayvin Jones, born on December 22, 2002, in Round Rock, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was 22 years old. Jakayvin brought light and warmth into the lives of those around him. Known for his infectious smile and generous spirit, he had a way of making people feel seen and valued. His presence left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He is lovingly remembered by his biological mother, Catrina Jones Cathey; his oldest brother, Dalaylon Jones; his younger brothers, D'Ontrae Jones and Jaydon Jones; and his younger sister, Aniyah Tillman. His girlfriend Jerrinque Wilson and his step daughter Island Wilson. As well as a host of other loved ones. Jakayvin was preceded in death by his grandmother Valerie Whitley and grandfather Michael Cathey. Jakayvin found joy in rapping and expressing himself through music. Beyond his creative pursuits, he was deeply committed to being there for his family—a role he embraced with love and dedication. His caring nature and helpful heart were constants in the lives of those who knew him. Though his time was far too short, Jakayvin’s memory will continue to live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. This was an unforseen tragedy for my family, therefore my son did not have life insurance and we are making this to help with his cremation.
