I met one, her name is Felicia. She reached out to me on Monday and told me that although she had already donated to my fundraiser, she wanted to offer to donate the rest of the funds offline to make the amount complete! I asked her if she was sure, she said yes, she wanted to honor her own mother, who she remembered struggling in the same ways as me. She came to my house and dropped off the cash, a dog that barks at her shadow and every other person but me, was quiet and meek in her presence. I gave her a hug, and through tears, I thanked her. She left quickly, after reassurance that this would help make everything "ok now". It has! She didn't want to be tagged here, but first name was ok with her. I had to leave to my son's choir performance soon after and I haven't had the chance till now to post this!  I will update the fundraiser with the offline donation and close it. Oh, one  more thing; on Saturday morning, I woke up bright and early and applied for the rental assistance at South county outreach, they have opened their portal till the 5th, they couldn't help for what's owed, but they would be able to help me going forward, if selected into their 90 day program that's required to be helped for December or November rent assistance,  utility assistance, I  applied, not thinking I would get a call back as they are inundated with requests and only choose the most needy cases to help. Yesterday, they called me and I now have an appointment on Friday to determine if I qualify for their amazing wrap around services, they don't just give money, they work with my landlord and would pay him directly, they require a 90 day financial literacy course, wrap around services and advocacy!!! *I* was selected to be interviewed based on my application  sent on Saturday morning and based on my answers to their initial intake screening!! This is SO AMAZING! I  hopefully will get approved on Friday for future assistance and more importantly, education and advocacy, which is worth more to me than money! THANK YOU to all the donors, THANK YOU to all whom have prayed for me and wished me well, THANK YOU to all who have shared my story, THANK YOU to this amazing community, especially Jenna H. AND especially THANK YOU TO AN ANGEL named Felicia, you know who you are, And every single one of you who donated, from 10 dollars to 500! My heart is so full, I can BREATHE AGAIN BECAUSE OF YOU! ❤️ I will pay this forward with my whole heart, for the rest of my life. YOU CHANGED MY LIFE AND MY SON'S LIFE FOR THE BETTER! GOD BLESS YOU! I will be closing the fundraiser today ASAP after I add the offline donation and after  update it, send thank you emails and update the outcome there, after I get my son to school this morning. Just humbled and truly grateful does not describe my heart enough. Thank you all! To others who are struggling, the SCO portal is open now till the 5th, please don't suffer alone, although my original post was NOT to raise funds, this community made sure that what was lost by me was replaced, I am speechless and will never forget this as long as I live. ❤️

Good morning all,

I wanted to take the time to send this note to thank you once again for your donations, even though we are 600 ish from goal as of this message, I feel this was a victory and it could NOT have been achieved without YOU! I'm in tears as I sit here and think about your generosity and love for me, a stranger, just another single mom who is struggling amongst many just like me.

This was so hard for me to do, I don't like to ask for help, I am always the one who helps people, never asking for what I need and that has been a theme in my life. I help others and donate when I can, because it makes me feel good, and I know what it's like to sit in my bathroom and cry tears of despair and panic alone, so that my son won't hear me, and I know I'm not the only one, especially in this uncertain economy. So, I will continue forward, I will never give up trying, I will try to work something out with my landlord, I will make it! If not, then God knows my heart, and has different plans for me, and I will trust Him.

I feel so grateful and so humbled, YOU have made a difference, YOU have helped me find the hope and courage to continue on, despite not quite reaching the final goal and yes we are still so close, despite any health diagnosis, despite any financial setback, despite any misfortune, despite the problems that seem to come one after the other, I will claim this as a success, not a failure, because of YOU. May God bless you back a hundred fold for your selflessness! YOU have made a difference. Thank you especially to Jenna H., who made this fundraiser for me! ❤️ To all the incredible members of this community who I'm proud to call myself a member of, Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart and from the bottom of my son Logan's heart! UPDATE #4

Hi everyone! We are so close to the goal! Thank you to everyone who has donated and/or shared this campaign and definitely thank you for the prayers. I'm still in need of this money for rent!  I have signed up with South county outreach rent assistance program, to be considered. They opened up the portal this morning, I set an alarm and I was one of the first ones to apply so we will see in a few days if I have been chosen.  that does not avoid the problem at hand as I still need this money to avoid eviction.

I believe I still need like $700 It's unbelievable how much money was raised in such a short time we are so close thank you so much

I understand we are all in need at this time especially with the holidays coming up and from the bottom of my heart I am so grateful and wanted to thank you each and every one of you for your help please share and consider donating so we can make this goal thank you so much and have a great weekend!
