I was accepted into a musical theater course in a UK university. Because I am going to school abroad my student loans wont cover the cost of accommodations and my visa. Which I have to pay in advance.
Hello my name is J.Esther Perpignan, but you can call me Esther. I am 34 female and I am going to college in the UK to study Musical Theater. I would like to go and study in the UK for many reasons. I will just share my top 5.
One my sister passed in July last year and I need a big change.
Two I love musical theater and Andrew Lloyd Webber is like my god. NOT MY GOD but like him. I do go to the church of Andrew as often as I can.
Three the school I picked has a wide variety of courses that range from academics to arts, and seeing how I am a artsy academic this seems like the perfect place for me.
Four their specific musical program focuses on performance art, and in my art repertoire, this is where I feel I am the weakest and need the most help.
Five I would be going to school in the UK. I heard once "go to school where you want to vacation" and this make sense to me because on those stressful, and really hard days I can just go outside for a walk in my favorite city and then come back to my dorm relaxed, and ready to study. The school I am going to is in a small off the beaten path town by a river. So its just quiet and peaceful by this beautiful lake.
Some of my hobbies are hiking, reading, and walking. My passions are writing, singing, dancing, painting, and learn history. I especially love art history. My goals are to grow enough as a performer to be able to sing something I wrote. Most of my song are about my sister, but other are about feelings from a different time in my life.
So now the big Question, why am I opening this account. My student loans will not cover the cost in my visa and accommodations both of which I need to pay for before I can even go there. My sister died of cancer. While she was sick, I was her primary caregiver while also working a full time job 2hr away. My mom almost died 4 month later from multi organ failure. My mom is still recovering, but she is not yet up to 100%. The level of care my mom needed was more then I could give while working so I found a part time job closer to home that pays a lot less. Now all my saving are gone. Me and my mom have bean planning for this move since we found out how sick she was. My sister and I were going to go back to school together. And now it feels so important that I keep going. My mom is going to get home care to fill in till she get back to 100% once she was closer to 80%.
She is almost all set up but sadly, I am now completely broke. I'm turning to my internet family because I need a lot of help. My mom is my only living family. Every little bit you give is a little bit that helps!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story even if you cannot help.
