My name is Vivian Chance and I live in Wasilla Alaska. I am a mother and grandmother, and the director of a local food ministry. I have worked in and around the medical field for the majority of my life. More than 30 years ago I felt the call to do missions work, particularly in Africa. Due to my personal situation at the time I never thought that I would actually get to go out to the mission field, and instead believed that my part was to support others in the missionary field. This year, the Lord gave me clear direction and opportunity to go with a group from my church to Uganda to work with the W.O.M.F. organization in the areas of creating a Womens Empowerment Center, Food ministry and Childrens ministry. I pray that God guides and directs me in this process to show His love and grace to the people He will be putting on our path.
I have been fundraising by using my cooking skills to contribute to bake sales, crocheting items for sale, and putting back small amounts from my job in order to have the funds to go . Although I have raised enough for the airfare, there are other expenses involved such as pretrip medical costs and purchasing gear. I will need to take off from work for 3 weeks, and I am my sole support. Would you be willing to partner with me in the work that God is calling me to do, just as I did for so many years? Any amount would be a blessing. If you are unable to support the trip monetarily, your prayers are always appreciated, and needed. Come be a part of this life giving gift of Gods love, showing people who they are in Christ, empowering them to rise above their current circumstances with Gods power.
