Friends and family, we need your help! After 2+ years of unemployment and financial insecurity, I finally got a full time job! I won't be returning to Corporate America (or making that Corporate America $$$), and that's OK! In fact, it's a very welcome change. I'm returning to the world of retail management, working for a company that's steadily growing, and whose mission I believe in.
It's been a long and very bumpy road getting here, but in this moment, we are feeling grateful. And a bit nervous.
Some of you may know that because of some medical/health reasons, Cori no longer drives. I've been taking Cori to work, then driving a rental car for Lyft and trying to earn enough money via Lyft rides to cover the weekly cost of the rental car.
Cori has been quite the rock star, working long hours at her new job. She's been there 6 months now! Meanwhile, I've been battling chronic illness while driving for Lyft, cat sitting, selling crystals, and selling plants... all in an attempt to make ends meet.
It hasn't worked.
We are deeply grateful for this new work opportunity. I'll once again earn consistent income that will give us a bit of breathing room. However... it means we need a car.
Right now.
For a lease or purchase, we need a significant down payment. Since we've struggled for some time to make ends meet, we do not have any savings. In fact, our rent has been late every month for some time now. We are so close to getting back on track, and we should be able to do just that in the next 30-45 days.
We are so excited for this long-awaited upswing. We just need a little help right now. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
